The WarszeMuzik festival was founded in 2017 on the initiative of curators Ania Karpowicz and Marek Bracha.
Initially thought as a social micro-initiative, it has grown into a month-long WarszeMuzik festival hosting outstanding chamber musicians from Poland and abroad.
More than 50 concerts and 7 editions of the WarszeMuzik festival have been realised with music by Polish composers of the interwar period: Aleksander Tansaman, Tadeusz Kassern, Mieczysław Wajnberg, Władysław Szpilman and others, set in the broad context of classical music.
Each year WarszeMuzik invites a resident composer, alternately representing Poland and Israel:
2018 – Aviya Kopelman
2019 – Agnieszka Stulgińska
2020 – Yair Klartag
2021 – Andrey Karalov
2022 – Matthew Shlomowitz
2023 – Aleksandra Kaca.
The Sphere of Harmony Foundation is also the producer of LP albums WarszeMuzik vol.1 and 2, both of which have been supported with a patronage of the most important cultural media in Poland: radio “Dwójka” and TVP Kultura.
Since 2024, the festival has been co-organised by oto foundation.
